The simple exciter,t designed in conjunction with Robert F. Wilson, is a device for excitation of the nervous system. It combines ease of operation and portability. Power is derived from the 1 10volt A.C. power mains, and the output of the machine is 60-cyde sinusoidal. A switch provides for momentary or continuous excitation. A variac control unit is used to obtain smooth adjustment of voltage from 0 to 5 volts on one pair of terminals and from 0 to 50 on another. A peak voltmeter indicates output intensity to the desired degree of precision. The transformer, which is used to step
